2010 Pond from start to finish

The paint to the outer walls can now be seen and the interior walls have been filled where the support bars have been removed.

This next shot shows the four 4” drain lines exiting the structure and also the four 1” lines to supply aeration to the diffuser tops of the drains. The base for the filtration units will be cast soon. Partial backfilling has also been commenced.

The speed of construction and the attention to detail in this installation is impressive. My ‘Build it once but build it properly’ motto springs to mind yet again with this system. As a reminder we are still only on Day 12 since the ground was first broken!

The supports for the pergola are nearing finish level.

Work has been concentrated on finishing the pergola to protect the pond from intense heat. It will be a very substantial structure when completed.
